Web Legal Winter Seminars
Fribourg Law School, Switzerland
4th December - 11th December
Web Legal Education is pleased to announce a Web Legal Winter Seminar at Fribourg Law School in Switzerland.
English is the spoken language during the seminars. There is no other language requirement.
All students (18+) who have studied at least one year at university are invited to apply. Payment of the deposit secures your place on the Web Legal Winter Seminar at Fribourg Law School in Switzerland.
Study
Studying at different institutions in different countries broadens your horizons, increases your knowledge and confidence in law but generally develops your mental abilities in a holistic fashion. Law firms need graduates and trainees who are bright, but they also need employees who have depth to their intellectual abilities. Studying in a different country allows you to see the jurisprudence of the world in a different light.
Experience
Law firms require trainees and associates who have the experience to cross boundaries, not only physically but cultural and psychologically. The law firms of the future will have offices or relationships with every country and will have clients who deal with many different countries simultaneously. You need to travel to build up your cultural experience and your ability to impress clients from different countries who have different ways than yourself. You cannot do this in one static location and whilst knowledge of one country is okay, two countries fine, three countries or more is best!
Enjoy
Fribourg Law School in Switzerland has so much to offer. You will have one of the best weeks of your life in this beautiful and exciting city with new friends and colleagues who will be useful contacts in your future career. We have a number of non- law activities planned for you including visits to surrounding towns and there is also the option to stay in Switzerland after the 11th of December to spend some days skiing.
Moreover, the "Doing Business in Asia" seminars presented by the faculty of Fribourg's Master of Laws in Cross-cultural Business Practice ("MCLCBP") will give you that all important "Commercial Awareness" requirement that so many law firms a great emphasis upon.
