Initial Personal DATA ("IPD") means that data you must give to us in order to register. Your IPD comprises your name, email address, telephone number and address.
We are concerned with the protection of your privacy and we comply with all relevant European Legislation and UK legislation. This is of course amended from time to time and we will update this privacy policy as necessary in order to keep you fully aware of your rights and our responsibilities.
If and when you register on www.weblegaleducation.com or www.weblegaleducation.net you will be deemed to have consented to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy and our terms and conditions. Both our privacy policy and our terms and conditions are found in other places on our website, including when you purchase products and if and when you have personal contact with a tutor.
Our tutors are fully trained and also observe our privacy policy and the terms and conditions of our websites.

PERSONAL DATA
In order to purchase a product, register and thereafter log in to our e-college, you will need to provide personal data. When you log onto the e-college, your IPD forms the first part of your online "CV". Your CV has an initial status of "invisible". This is its default position. If you wish for law firms or other responsibly sourced potential employers to contact you, you must change your CV's status. We charge potential recruiters to contact you. There are a number of CV status levels. These merely indicate your current employment position. We do not allow recruiters to directly access the information on your CV - our recruitment manager Pierre Kirk acts as liaison between a potential recruiter and your personal information in order to keep it secure.
Your personal data is stored for:-
- Storing your preferences;
- Storing your online CV;
- Passing your CV details to firms and other prospective companies;
- Updating you of new services and products available on the website; and
- Any other reason require by Web Legal from time to time.
Your online CV is always available for you to review. We do not change the status of your CV - it is up to you. If you CV status is set to "invisible" then we do not share it with potential recruiters, although we may have to share any of your personal information if required to do so by law.
We respect your concerns in relation to privacy - we have extensive policies in relation to your personal data and we are registered with the information commissioner. We regularly test our procedures and train our staff in relation to keeping your personal information safe. However, we completely and wholly restrict our liability to you for any breach of security or for the actions of unauthorised third parties to nil. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to fully log out of your Web Legal account, to keep your password and username safe and not to share it with anyone.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES (Very technical information)
Cookies allow us to collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual - most websites now use them and the internet as it is now known would not function without them.

VIRUSS, HACKING AND OTHER OFFENCES
Be aware that the Computer Misuse Act 1990 provides criminal offences for the use of Viruses, Trojans, Worms, Logic Bombs, Matrix Vanguards or Hammer Snarls and you must also not attempt to access our site, server, computer or database connected to our site. We will not be liable to you if you suffer damage as a result of your computer being infected by any of the various Viruses listed above.
